| no work on thursday, remember this is one of the biggest party nights of the year |

Yeah, I know, it's a couple days late. I've been busy! SO elated that we FINALLY have another Democrat in office, and one that is motivated enough to make a change, and clean up past messes!

The Spring 2009 collection, presented at Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week, is inspired by urban bike messengers, but made elegant and tailored. The above look is one that will definitely make it into my closet next spring!

I just watched a beautiful movie called Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont, starring Dame Joan Plowright, and super sexy Rupert Friend. It's about an elderly woman who goes to live in a hotel called Claremont that is for retired and elderly folk. She is lonely and the other folks in the hotel think that the grandson she speaks of is mythical. One day, out and about, she falls and young, aspiring writer (with most mesmerizing eyes) named Ludo comes to her rescue. They develop a rapport that leads them to a sweet friendship. He, never knowing his grandmother, and her having a grandson that doesn't call as often as he should.
She's good with a teleprompter. It very well could be Tina Fey. But unlike Tina Fey, I get frightened with this one. She's icky. She scares me. She's got a knocked up, gun loving 17 year old, and when you've got a geriatric man running for president and a super strong, loud woman as VP, a heart attack is likely, and then we're stuck with this bitch! The only bitch I would want in office is Hillary, so I will just have to make do with Barack. And I'm okay with that.
Last night was the launch of ADWA New York, the skinniest pants I have ever seen in my life! They are super high waisted, super slimming, and really sexy! It was hosted my Holly Dunlap of Hollywould in the penthouse suite of the Rivington Hotel. The booze was sponsored by St. Germain, and being one of my favorite spirits, I had an amazing time!
Ugh! You know the type. The woman who is angrily navigating her pram through the streets of New York. You are walking in opposite directions, and the street is narrowing. Rather than wait to see who's coming first, she automatically assumes she has the right of way, and she speeds up, tackling your toes as she does it. She doesn't bother to share the sidewalk, she just assumes she owns it. I loathe this type of woman. Just because you have a baby doesn't mean you own anything more than more responsibility, sugar...
So I think I love Pamela Anderson Lee. She is stunning, and on her new show "Pam: Girl on the Loose", she shows a surprisingly different side of herself! I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the way she is portrayed! The camera work is so refreshing in the way it is presented, making it feel more like an old home movie.
Remember Tuesdays at the original mr. Black? It was hosted by Mr. Patrick Duffy and Nicky B....SO much fun! Those days were so much fun! It was the first time I had been to Black, so it holds a special place!
Sunday I hosted the Garden at ONO, Josh Wood's hot bevy-of-boys party! DJ Gant Johnson and I had a little reunion of sorts, after having done Eastern Bloc's former Tricky Tuesday party together with Lina. TOO MUCH FUN! One of the CD decks was busted, so there was Gant spinning one CD at a time, no mixes, and PISSED! I called my girl Joy Helsinga over at the Cabana at Maritime who so graciously borrowed a deck from her bar to share with us for this party!
Betsey Johnson is an legend in the NYC fashion scene. Her antics on the runway are known worldwide, and the gal can turn a mean cartwheel! She is animated, youthful, and girly rock and roll! She and CEO/Partner Chantal Bacon celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Betsey Johnson label. So fun! There were cupcakes and petit fours on tiered trays, all pink of course, and pink cocktails, courtesy of Svedka.
