Random Rant: Baby strollers

Ugh! You know the type. The woman who is angrily navigating her pram through the streets of New York. You are walking in opposite directions, and the street is narrowing. Rather than wait to see who's coming first, she automatically assumes she has the right of way, and she speeds up, tackling your toes as she does it. She doesn't bother to share the sidewalk, she just assumes she owns it. I loathe this type of woman. Just because you have a baby doesn't mean you own anything more than more responsibility, sugar...

Next time you see a baby carriage barreling at you, stay your course. It's not being discourteous, because after years and years of yielding, it's my turn to own the sidewalk. A simple thank you would suffice, but no...nothing. Not my fault you have stretch marks, new mama. Not my problem you got no sleep because your little mouth breather is teething.

I'm not completely insensitive to babies, I just hate the attitude that new mothers get when they are out and about. Not everyone wants to hear your baby scream and cry, and I certainly don't want you on a plane with me. The sidewalk is somewhere that we should all share, including you and your baby carriage.
