Trinity Angels A Night In Aspen Fundraiser

Hi All,

I have been asked to join a very special cause in hopes to encourage you as well in joining what is very dear to my heart. You may receive more than one of these, so pardon the excess, it's for a good cause!

Please join in on the fun, and if you can not join please donate something if you can. This is a small price to pay for a large life to protect and help.

The Trinity Angel Non-Profit Organization is proud to present the first ever fundraiser for the Trinity Place LGBT Youth Homeless Shelter.

Trinity Place Shelter is a non-sectarian, 10-bed transitional shelter that is open all year to provide LGBTQ youth with a safe place to sleep, eat, store belongings, and have access to transportation. The shelter provides a unique, family-like environment where the youth receive the respect, individualized care, and basic services so often denied them. There are as many as 10,000 LGBTQ youth currently living homeless in NYC and only 250 beds or fewer that are specifically available for this population. These youth often experience abuse in other shelters. Our goal is to expand our program to provide homeless LGBTQ youth with the basic services and skills necessary to make independent living a reality, and to make a positive difference for as many as possible in the midst of this crisis.

Most of us remember what it was like to fear the rejection of friends and family once we finally came out of the shadows and admitted that we were gay. Hopefully, most of us were embraced for simply being who we were. Unfortunately though, there are others who weren’t so lucky. Instead of being accepted by their loved ones, they were ostracized, shunned, and even turned out by the people whose support they needed the most during this difficult time. And it could have easily have been one of us.

As members of the LGBT community, we have a responsibility to support our fellow brothers and sisters, especially the young, who in most cases have nowhere else to turn.

Please join us December 2nd from 7 - 11 pm at Aspen Lounge for an unforgettable event.

Hosted by: Oscar Apaydinli, Matt Tratner, Josh Wood, Mark Nelson, Russ Williamson, Memo Valverde, Kevin Joyce, Joseph Miceli Magnone, Jacob Fanning, Eddie Garou, Tony Fornabaio, Mike Ruiz, Douglas Hill, Kevin Lotz & Danielle Pepin, among others!
